Thank you for visiting JazzPhotoWorks, a site I created to be among the few photographers who document some of America’s finest jazz musicians known worldwide. Although I have to admit I’m a late comer or newbie as one could say my photographic abilities will over shadow my inexperience. I could look back and say why didn’t I start this journey during the prime of some of the most well known artist that garner so much appreciation today? In truth I’ve seen performances and met some very influential jazz masters along they’re career but I also know how many have departed this dimension and now play among the heavens only to be remembered through the discography and photographs of history, so yes, why didn’t I?

When I research the works of other’s that have captured artist on live stage, studio, or candid locations I can’t help but admire the privilege. It’s a well known fact that history repeats itself and every generation will bring about new and exciting talent and many of these youngsters will leave a legacy of their own, I hope to capture them in some of their most expressive modes of performance personality.
